Ownership and License
Everything you read, every photograph, map, route description, and sentence on this site is created by us and belongs to The Harvest Sun LLC. You are welcome to read it, bookmark it, print it for your own trip, and share the link with friends. You are not allowed to copy entire pages, republish the content on your own blog, feed it into commercial guides, or sell it in any form. If you want to quote a short paragraph somewhere, common sense and a visible link back to us are all we ask.
Accuracy of Information
We spend an unreasonable amount of time chasing weather stations, staying in the places we write about, and updating data the moment the sky changes its mind. Still, weather is weather, borders open and close, prices move, and ferries sometimes decide not to run. We give you the best possible information available on the day we publish it, but we cannot guarantee that the sun will stay exactly where we left it when you arrive. Your trip, your responsibility.
Digital Products
Any paid downloadable files (route packs, planning kits, etc.) are delivered instantly and are non-refundable except in the very limited cases described in our separate Refund Policy. Once you have the file, you may keep it, print it, and use it for as many personal trips as you like. You may not resell it, share it publicly, or distribute it to others.
Your Behaviour
You are welcome to comment, send messages, or subscribe. We expect normal human decency: no spam, no hate, no threats. We reserve the right to delete comments or block users who forget how to behave. The site itself must not be crawled aggressively, scraped en masse, or used to train any kind of model without our written permission.
Liability
We are travellers writing for travellers, not a licensed travel agency or tour operator. We do not book anything for you, we do not earn commissions from hotels or airlines, and we carry no responsibility for flights you miss, borders that close, or jellyfish that sting. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability is capped at the price you actually paid us (which in most cases is zero).
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States, because that’s where the company is registered and where the coffee is strong enough to finish these sentences. Any dispute would be settled in Honolulu, but honestly we would rather solve everything over email and stay friends.
Changes to These Terms
If we ever need to update something important, we will change the date at the top and highlight the change. Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the new version.
